Inspired Sympathy Cards

I needed a sympathy card for dear friends that recently lost their beloved dog, Cocoa.  He went everywhere with them and was like their child. I know the pain they are going through. Cocoa will be missed!

I  made a couple of these.  I used SU Inspired by Nature stamped in Chocolate Chip.  The rest of the card is sponged ala Zindorf style in  SU Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip and used co- ordinating cardstocks.. The one above is left plain of the right side so I can add another image as needed. I stamped the one below with a dog from SU "D" is for Dog set.  I tried stamping over the top of the sponged cardstock as well as embossing.  Brads and punches are also Stampin' Up.

Owl Always Love You!

Owl always love stamping, animals and my hubby!  This card uses a SC sketch challenge, the owls are from Stamping Bella, the sentiment uses a Just Rite Stampers monogram set and the patterened paper is about 10 years old, cleaning out my really old stash and using it or giving it away.  I'm not really into the country or shabby look so I struggled with this card.  I also wanted to use kraft cardstock.
Once I pulled out the patterened paper I remembered that I had a glass button that would match perfectly.  I'm really bad about hoarding, so it is good to dig into my stash and use some things. Colored with Copic markers.  I'm looking for a Copic class in Tulsa, OK to take.  If you know of one, please let me know!  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Verve Valentine

This card is one that I will giving to my wonderful hubby for Valentine's Day!  The Winne The Pooh saying from Verve is one of my favorites!  This card uses a sketch challenge from Verve.  This is more paper crafting than stamping as the only stamp on the card is the sentiment.  I used Spellbinder Label Nesties and Corner Flourishes, patterned paper from Basic Gray, solid colors are SU Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Crisp, self adhesive rhinestones, SU Cranberry Crisp stiched grosgrain ribbon, paper piercing tool, heart punches and the layers are pop up to add demension. Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed day!

My Favorite Bunny Slippers

This week I used the color challenge over at Splitcoaststampers for inspiration. The challenge was to use Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzelberry. I substituted the Rich Razzelberry for Purely Pomegranate. I wanted to use one of my unused sets and decided on My Favorite Things, Who’s That Girl, Bunny Slippers. Here is what I came up with.

To get the patterned look on the robe, I inked up my Paisley Background stamp from SU and stamped Purely Pomegranate ink on Pretty in Pink cardstock.  Then I stamped the MFT Bunny Slippers image in Memento Tuzedo Black and paper pieced it over the full image.  I drew in the wood floor and the rest of the image was colored with Copic markers.  I added Purely Pomegranate, Chocolate Chip ribbon,  self adhesive rhinestones and stickles for a little bling.  The paisley patterned paper is Basic Gray and the white cardstock is Gina K Pure Luxury.

Since I had gotten this new (to me) stamp inky I wanted to make a few cards to have on hand. Here are a couple of varations.

Colors used are Chocolate Chip and DSP, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette DSP.  White cardstock is Gina K Pure Luxury, embelishments are Stickles, Dew Drops, Rhinestones and Pima Flowers, colored with Copics.
Here are my last two with a different color theme, So Saffraon, Brocade Blue and Sara DSP.

The one on bottom is colored with Copics and the one on the top is paper pieced. The punches, brads, button, ribbon and hemp are all Stampin' Up.
