Kitty Sabre's Christmas card

This is the baby, Sabre. She came from an animal rescue in Arkansas.  She is also an odd eyed cat, with one blue and one amber colored eye.  She is not a year old yet, but seems like she is the middle child as her personality is the perfect mix of both of the other cats.  She is very playful, yet snuggly.  Not vocal and talkative, but has the loudest purr. Not shy, but not fearless either. Not into everything, but not perfect.  She gets along well with both other cats and loves hubby and me both.

This is Sabre's Christmas card to Daddy.  I was worried about all three cats (well two of them at least) getting into the Christmas tree this year since they are still young, 2+, 1+ and 9 months, but they did great.  They were much more interested with the tree than the ornaments.  Just keep a spray bottle by the tree and after a few times getting sprayed, they stayed out.  Not one single ornament knocked off! What good girls!  Thanks for stopping by.

Ink: Memento Tuzedo Black, Copic Markers

Christmas Card 2009

This is my Christmas card for 2009. I love non traditional colors on holiday cards. This year I knew I wanted to use black & white and a damask print. SU came out with this adorable single stamp, Dasher and I knew I had to use it. I used Sketch Challenge 244 from Splitcoast stampers for the layout. Thank for looking.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Cardstock: SU Whisper White, Basic Black

Patterned Paper: the Paper Studio, Silver Wedding Flourish

Tools: Cutterbug Filigree embossing folder

Accessories: self adhesive pearls & satin ribbon

Summer time is such a busy time I've been remiss updating my blog. I hatve to admit, these are cards that I stamped a while back. DH and I have spent every weekend the past few months fixing up a house, painting and laying tiles, you name it. It has left little time to stamp.
Here are 2 versions of the same card that I submitted to Inkadinkado to use in their gallery. Very clean and simple cards. I used blue for the dog image as I had a boy dog and pink for the cat as I have girl kitties. Love the ribbon that I got from Hobby Lobby for 1/2 off. Just wished I had gotten more as I am such a ribbon hoarder, I hate to use it unless I know that I can get more.

Stamps: Inkadinkado clear sets Dogs & Cattitude
Ink: SU Pixie Pink & Tempting Turquoise
Cardstock: SU Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black & Whisper White
Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities and paw print ribbon from Hobby Lobby
Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Here are my Splitcoaststamper Challenges for this week. I used SC237, CC227 and WRAK image. The image is by Rachelle Ann Miller call Peek A Bunny and was a Wish image I received from amykuc (thanks Amy!) The cardstock is Whisper White, Basic Black, Almost Amethyst and Barely Bannana - all from Stampin' Up! I used Copic markers to color in the images, Cutterbug Swirl embossing folder, SU brads, Prima flowers and vintage buttons from my stash.
It was nice to have a challenge to help with the sketch or layout and then the colors. I also know that I wanted to use my most recent RAK. I tragically lost my best friend and 4 legged child last week and have not had any mojo or desire to create, so the challenges really helped me to at least get back into the studio.
Have a blessed day and thank you for looking.

Anniversary Cards

Stamp sets: SU's Elegant Antique background & JustRite Stampers Harmony sets
Cardstock: SU Metallic Gold & Silver and Whisper White
Ink/Emboss Powder: Encore Metallic with SU gold & silver emboss powder
Ribbon: SU gold & silver organdy with metalic cording
Other: Nesties circle & scallop circle & pop dots.

Had the embossed backgrounds sitting around forever from another project and needed a 50th Wedding Anniversary card quick. I had just gotten the JustRite stamps and wanted to play around with them so I came up with the simple yet elegant card. I needed a 15th wedding anniversary card for DH and decided to use the silver background for it. We celebrate our anniversary on the 10th.
Thanks for looking.

Lockhart Vintage Chair Birthday card

This card I made for my husband's birthday. I love this Lockhart chair image, it reminds me of the chairs my Grandmother had when I was growing up. Her favorite color was turquoise so that is the color I used. The image is Lockhart colored with Copics, the cardstock, punches and brads are Stampin' Up! Have a wonderful day and thanks for stoping by.
